Introduction to the Establishment of the Yersin Institute of Clinical Trials

The Yersin Institute of Clinical Trials (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) was established under Decision No. 01/QĐ-YERSIN dated 10/05/2022 by Yersin Medical and Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company. The Institute was granted the Certificate of Registration for Scientific and Technological Activities by the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology, registration number B-17/2022/ĐK-KH&CN dated 06/06/2022.

d. Functions

(According to the Charter approved in Decision No. 02/QĐ-YERSIN dated 10/05/2022 by Yersin Medical and Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company):

  • Clinical trials on drugs, health supplements, and foods for special dietary uses.
  • S&T services: consulting, technology transfer, training participation, organization of workshops and scientific conferences; domestic and international cooperation in clinical trials of drugs, health supplements, and special dietary foods.
  • Gathering scientists, experienced experts, and qualified staff to conduct scientific research and provide scientific and technological services in the field of clinical trials of drugs, health supplements, and foods for special dietary uses.

e. Tasks

  1. Organize, implement, and coordinate with qualified units to conduct clinical trials on:
    • Various types of drugs; vaccines; cosmetics.
    • Food categories: health supplements, nutritional foods, medical nutrition, functional foods, foods for special diets, and other food lines.
    Clinical trials of raw materials used for drugs, cosmetics, and food products for health care and protection.
  2. Participate in and implement scientific and technological tasks at ministerial, city, and national levels.
  3. Coordinate with qualified units to conduct bioequivalence testing of drugs.
  4. Conduct scientific research and peer review, and implement projects and topics in medicine, pharmaceutical technology, food chemistry, cosmetic chemistry, and community health care.
  5. Provide scientific and technological services: consulting, technology transfer, participation in training, organization of scientific workshops and conferences; printing and publishing related materials.
  6. Collaborate and link with domestic and international organizations and individuals to perform the functions and tasks of the Institute.
  7. Carry out other tasks assigned by the parent company.

– Former Deputy Director of the Regional Blood Transfusion Center Project;
– Former Head of Program, Project and External Relations Management Department;
– Former Member of the Scientific Council of the unit: National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, Ministry of Health.

  • Scientific articles published: 84 articles in domestic journals.
  • Monographs published: 05 monographs in domestic publications.
  • Books co-authored: 12 books.
  • Scientific research topics at various levels: Total of 14 topics, including:
    • 03 national-level topics (Secretary, researcher).
    • 02 Ministry of Health-level topics (Secretary, researcher).
    • 09 institutional-level topics (05 as principal investigator, 04 as researcher).
  • Supervision of PhD, Master’s, Residency, CKI, CKII students: 10 students.
